Thanks for explaining these types of AA. I've always wondered why exactly anti-aliasing seems to be the one thing that can take a game from perfectly playable to stop-motion in one swift motion but never really understood.

...I didn't explain them though. Nor did I explain why some of them have a big performance hit. I gave a quick summary of some of the pros and cons of some of the more common methods, that's it.
