I'm trying to play need for speed carbon using a simulator steering wheel and I'm having a lot of trouble with the game's builtin deadzone. Is there any way of creating an anti-deadzone on a controller?

Some things I've tried:
I tried right-clicking on the input so it brings up the advanced setup (for left and right on the analog stick) and added a "+ 0.1" to it. But that created a syntax error.
I then tried adjusting the range, but that just acts as a multiplier.

Here's some solutions I could use:
I could install vJoy and write a script to make an anti-deadzone, but I don't know where to start.
I could install PPJoy and use GlovePIE to do the same, but PPJoy is difficult to install on Windows 10 and it causes driver issues with other input devices.

I have done this using x360ce, but I don't like it because it prevents me from hotplugging my XInput controllers.

Please let me know if you have a different solution, or if I'm missing something, or if I should put this in the feature request thread.
