I've found a few other people that had the same issue no solution though... Might try reinstalling windows?

We arn't psychic, and this isn't a guessing game.
Give us more detail: What Dolphin version do you use? What games are you trying to play with AA? What are your settings? You could've gotten an answer if you read the rules 12-14-2011, 10:31 PM
sorry should be in signature now.. thanks for the reply ive tried 7719m, 3.0-232, 3.0 232 and a few others i cant remember.
Ive tried playing zelda skyward sword, donkey kong country returns and smash bros brawl all of which drop to 1-3fps with aa turned on unless i cut it back to 2.5x resolution from 4x, even then its still only around 13fps and feels slower. With aa turned off and all other enhancements at max im getting a solid 29fps. ive tried changing all the settings while watching the speed and nothing changed more than 2fps up or down, both recompiler settings=same results. which settings do you need? i would post them but ive tried a lot of diff ones. thanks 12-14-2011, 10:53 PM
Your GPU is not strong enough for 4x AA + 4x resolution . 2xAA + 3x resolution or 4xAA + 2x resolution should be ok

You can post the settings you're trying now so we can see what you have.
You should try to only raise your Internal Resolution while keeping AA off. It's unnecessary, barely improves the graphics and eats a lot of performance. Sometimes it even makes graphical glitches. 12-15-2011, 02:50 AM
Ah makes a lot of sense. 1st time I've built a pc and I thought I was going to stuff something up good to know its not me only having half a idea what I'm doing will try to get a decent fps with aa and let you know the settings and results. Thanks for all the help

You still haven't told us your settings. You could be using SSAA with d3d9 or MSAA with openGL/d3d11, we don't know since you haven't given us that information.

ok at 1.5x native i can use 9x ssaa and 16x af at 30 fps, the picture quality is a little bit smoother testing skyward sword noticeably links outline compared to 4x native none ssaa 16x af but not that much and ssaa on does cause shadow squares
