i wanted to ask this a long time ago ... Smile

what's the feature of the gpu that dolphin depends on it the most ??? :

1-No of Shaders
2-Bandwidth
3-Bus Width
4-Core and VRam Freq. ?

Thanks For All People That Gives Delicious Info Everytime we ask !!

A video card that supports OpenCL is helpful but not needed. One that supports OpenGL 2.0 and Pixel Shader 2.0 is needed. Other than that, I'd say shaders is most important. All of this can change if they allow the use of the video card more in the future.

Do You Think That a 5670HD 1GB can do the job ? i have max resolution 1280X1024 . . sadly Sad
can i play dolphin maximized on that resolution ? i know 5770 is better but my energy is limited !! and not risking to get it !!!

It can get the job done very well. EFB scale will not be able to be to 3x, but maybe 2x and definitely 1x depending on the game.

Easily stated, it makes the game look more clear on-screen, but causes major slowdowns when turned up too high. You'll have to see how much SSAA you can use and if 1x, 2x or 3x efb scale can be used together with SSAA to produce the best quality picture and speed, if your hardware is good enough to handle it.

Shader and pixel throughput usually matter the most to dolphin, but everything is important to some degree. Remember:

Memory bus bitwidth x memory frequency = memory bandwidth (in bits per second)

shader clock (core clock for ati) x number of SP x OPs per clock = shader throughput (in floating point operations per second)

core clock (shader clock in fermi) x number of TMU x OPs per clock = texture fillrate (in texels per second)

core clock x number of ROP x OPs per clock = pixel fillrate (in pixels per second)

core clock x number of raster units x OPs per clock = geometry fillrate (in vertex per second)
