You'll need to use the analogue stick on the nunchuck attachment for this one. Try adding the nunchuck attachment in wiimote settings and have the stick set to analog 1:

Also, what build are you running? You might be running a build that I might want to try, if you're not getting my texture problems:

I had this problem too. Wiimote configuration just doesn't seem to work at all for City Folk in some of the latest builds. And the earlier builds that do work don't have gamepad support

r4525 at least lets us use keyboard and mouse input. And the mouse input isn't half bad, actually its probably better than trying to use a gamepad to access all those menus.

Well, it seems build r4651 has wiimotes working again, and accepts input from gamepads now. Unfortunately it seems to run City Folk at half the speed build r4525 ran the game, so everything's slow motion.

Well, I seem to be having this problem. I can't get either my keyboard or mouse to be recognized on City Folk, and it keeps asking me to "Press A", which I can't do. I am on the latest version, r4771. Any help would be most appreciated!

Yes, the controls are completely broken in all latest revisions, they still work in 4717 (which runs the game poorly)... I tried 4817, it now seems to run at a perfect framerate at 1920x1080 with Direct3D, it's such a shame that all you can do is stare at the title screen. Sad

Any chance this will be remedied soon? I really want to play AC.

This problem was fixed (see issue 1725). It will get into the release if the changes don't break anything else. Star it if you want it in...
