Animal Crossing: City Folk

I need help. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I've just downloaded and tested Animal Crossing for the Wii. I can play any other Wii game just fine, but when I start Animal Crossing, I can't use any controls. The emulated wiimote is active, so I don't understand what's wrong. If someone could help me out, Thanks

Use the Pal version,the NTSC fail to connect controller or emulated wiimote when you trim or compress the real disc(don't know why),I bought the pal from ebay and it work fine

Pal version does the same thing, I don't get it. I can get as far as teh start menu. when it asks to press "A", I smash the keys in and it won't take it.

Nvm, for some reason, it works (and faster) on the earlier version.
