Unless it magically comes with good GPU drivers on every device receiving the update it probably won't help with Dolphin's Android port...
Avell A70 MOB: Core i7-11800H, GeForce RTX 3060, 16 GB DDR4-3200, Windows 11 (Insider Preview)
ASRock Z97M OC Formula: Pentium G3258, GeForce GT 440, 16 GB DDR3-1600, Windows 10 (22H2) 08-23-2016, 05:51 PM
There is indeed a good point in android N. It brings ES3.2 and Vulkan support in Java. We use neither, but it has the same requirement and is a good reason to update the GPU drivers. So the chances that vendor update their drivers is now bigger than 0. But likely not that much :/

But likely not that much :/ Qualcomm vendors are pretty aggressive with driver updates. I'd say pretty much all the Qualcomm flagships getting 7.0 that have adreno 4xx chips will get the features. It's the other vendors that are pretty grey (ARM likely won't have drivers that don't suck ready in time so OEM's will skip over. Imagine has the drivers ready but lol nobody is using them). So I'd say something like an HTC One M9 or LG G4 will see those features. |
