AMD Ryzen CPU for Melee, Netplay

Hi friends,
I think I've done some solid research and I am looking for some confirmation:
I'm 95% set on building a PC, this one pretty much verbatim: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8vRVnL_l4s

My #1 goal, zero compromise, is to be able to play melee and project plus (project M) netplay at 60fps with the higher definition texture packs/upscaling enabled. Being able to emulate other games, play AAA titles at high frame rates, stream, edit etc. are all nice bonuses but mostly auxiliary--which is why I think this build is a good fit for me. For reference, this build is putting out between 100-200 FPS on max settings for most modern games.

I was ready to buy until I remembered this: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/faq/
Quote:AMD: Dolphin's workload didn't match the strengths of AMD processors until the Ryzen line. As such, we can only recommend Ryzen or newer for Dolphin among AMD's line of processors.

The CPU I am planning on buying is is:
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6-Core
3.2GHz baseclock, 3.6GHz turbo
6 cores, 12 threads
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XTQZJ28/ref=crt_ewc_img_dp_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1K79P9EE4OAFI

and fwiw I'm using this graphics card, from what I gather this is much less important for Dolphin and likely overpowered for my primary purpose:
PowerColor Red Dragon Radeon RX 5600 XT 6GB
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083TRG3F6/ref=crt_ewc_img_dp_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Is this good enough for seamless dolphin/netplay performance?
Is this CPU going to give me adequate performance or something I'll be really happy with for emulation? This setup appears to work great for other use cases that require more cores than dolphin and a strong GPU.

The price, performance, upgradability, flexibility outlined in the youtube vid above has me pretty set on this. So I would love to know. Thank you to anyone who helps :]

It should be enough, from a only dolphin point a r3 3100, r3 3300x, or r5 3600 would be better option due to there high per core performence. It to bad that the 3100x\3300x are going for some much over there msrp though at 100\120 dollar those would have be much better option for dolphin and still be good enough for pc games. ironicaly from what I could fine the r5 3600 was cheaper then the r3 lol( at this post on new r3 is 198.99 compare to 167.00 for the r5). I do have a friend that use a r5 1600 and he run PCSX2 and RPCS3 well from what he tell me at least.
As for graphics as long it not insane setting like 8x ir with 4x aa while using sync uburshader you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any specific CPU you could recommend say less than $200?

From what I gather I imagine something with like a 3.4 or 3.6GHz per core performance would be best? And I feel pretty comfortable with building a PC only because the steps are all laid out for me lol--not because I know anything about computers.

So I do wonder if there are thermal or compatibility considerations with modifying my proposed setup:

As I said the r5 1600x should be enough but in today current prices and availability issues are going to be a problem. The normal price of a 3300x should be around 120 dollar but it going for around 190 for example if you can find it stock. I would overclock the r5 1600x if I go that though. This should be easy since it not expensive with amd to find a motherboard that can overclock. I don't see any problem with the motherboard or case. If you not in a hurry to build it might be worth waiting tell after the availability and pricing go back to normal. Also zen 3 is likely going to come out in a few months so that could change prices on current zen 2 based cpu and\or have faster option for similar price.
