EDIT2: According to the release date link the projected release date is the 4th quarter of the year. This quarter starts on Oct. 1st 2016.

Everyone tell me your thoughts and expectations on this.

This is not a HT. This is SMT. AMD will have their own implementation of SMT different from Intel's.

My 2 cents:
Assuming this is true (while not confirmed it's extremely likely) I can say yet again "I told you so". Those of us who haven't buried our heads in the sand just yet have realized that while AMD has been preaching that SMT is overrated or is less efficient than their own MT implementations realworld performance data continues to show that it's an extremely valuable uarch optimization. I saw this coming years ago when CMT was first implemented and failed miserably as an alternative solution.
