I find this strange. The difference between 4.2 GHz and 4.6GHz should be about 10 watts. If you're running the system at full load for 10 hours a day all 30 days out of the month that adds up to $0.33 a month on your electric bill at USA average prices ($0.11 per kwh). Energy prices in your country would have to be pretty insane for this to add up to even a few dollars at such high usage.

I don't believe you. At 4.2GHz the combined performance of its 2 cores is just as fast as an AMD quad core at stock speeds. And those run nearly every modern game just fine. In fact the Intel should actually be better overall because its dramatically better single threaded performance will help games that only use 1 or 2 cores or don't scale very well past 2 cores (and there are still many new games coming out that fall into this category unfortunately). While properly multithreaded games will be about the same on either.

So which games are giving you trouble and how have you determined that the cpu is at fault for these games and not the gpu?
