is the amd fx 8350 good for gc and wii emulations in full hd?

Depends on what GPU you are using. For demanding games though you need an overclocked Sandy/ivy bridge regardless of resolution used.

Then yeah non cpu demanding games will run fine in full hd.

Much better. Even at stock it can play more games full speed. Overclocked it should be able to handle any game dolphin can play at full speed.

We are only about 4 months away from haswell though. If you can wait the i5 4670k should be a bit better.

Also, it will be the exact same price as a 3570K is now when it will be released. I'm holding out, and I recommend you do too unless you need a new computer right now.
