Oehr could you also test SMG1 or SMG2? I can get full speed in Zelda TP(hyrule field) as well, but I'm unable to reach full speed in either of the SMG.
AMD APU only

Why would you not use the speed hack? It's only benefiting you unless it has some effect that no one is saying?

It's just that people tend to compare based on past experiences, so if someone used an old build without it when he played the game he will compare based to that. There is nothing wrong with the hack, except that it won't work with a certain ntsc game revision. 10-02-2014, 05:19 AM

Maybe he want to play PC games too 1/3 the price? where do you get that? 10-02-2014, 07:08 AM
He's not going to do any better for PC games with an APU either. As for the '1/3 the price' thing, I'm assuming he's referring to the Pentium G3258, which is really cheap, and will outperform any chip AMD have ever made in Dolphin.

The glorious and all-power G3258. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pent...,3849.html
Maybe not for 1/3 of the price, but still cheaper than any gaming APU that can even try to hold its own against it 10-02-2014, 09:06 AM
Yes I was referring to the G3258. Which is by far the single best cpu for dolphin in terms of bang for buck right now.
It's $70 while the AMD A10-7850K is $180. 1/3 would be $60 not $70 if you want to get technical. It's 1/2.57th price to be more exact. At stock it's already going to be around 10% faster than the 7850K in dolphin. But if you OC it to 4.4GHz it's going to be way faster for dolphin than any AMD cpu could possibly be. If you're concerned about PC gaming just throw a $100 graphics card in with it and you now have a setup that's the same cost and power consumption but is faster for both PC games and dolphin.

I have an A10 7850k, RAM that will run stable up to 2400mhz (dual rank) on an ASRock a88x Mini ITX board, it is being cooled by a corsair h60, if you need some testing done I have a large library of gamecube and wii games. I also have a pentium g3258, and an i5 4690k (come tuesday afternoon) and an ASUS maximus hero VI, and an r9 280x. I can push the clocks on any of these if need be, if you want a comparison or some testing, I can undervolt my 280x to match the 512 SPUs in the 7850k and try to match the performance of the memory, let me know if you need any of this done, I'll try to make some time for it. I would like to let you know Gamecube games have run very well so far on my A10 build, it's fairly new though, so I haven't tried too many games.
