Again , why would you need that much wattage for a low power consumption system like that ?
Use a power calculator and you will find out how much wattage it actually need
A decent PSU like Corsair VS350 (45AUD) is overkilled at this point
Palit is not a good GPU maker . For durability , EVGA all the way

Most of the time , Advanced users can't use all 8GB memory . Hell , not even close . Single channel is pointless ! Dual channel 2x4GB FTW !

Btw,You seems to like small form factor PC . Have you heard of the Gigabyte Brix Pro
It's an ultra form factor PC from Gigabyte feature a Quad Core i5 4570R + Intel Iris Pro 5200 (which is on par with Nvidia GT 640 or AMD 6670 GDDR5)
We even have a topic for it

I know Super Smash Brothers is a lot resource hungry, I don't think I'm ready to give up this game.

Hhhmm. I am starting to think that the i3 will be best for dolphin instead of the AMD.. Hate budget constraints..

Still deciding.. Thanks for the info..

@kinkinkijkin, what is your specs?

Edit: Do we have any GPU benchmarks here? Was it the Wind Waker Benchmark>

Super Smash Brothers is really light. I play Brawl on my Athlon 750k ($80) on stock clocks and I get full speed.

Really? What's your IR and GPU?

4x IR on my MSI Radeon 7770

I'm pretty sure that largely depends on which country you buy it in. In the UK Palit seems to be aiming at the same points as Gigabyte and EVGA, but with marginally worse but cheaper coolers.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

couldn't go lower W here in Aus that is 80+gold.

Yeah, i've never had any small form factors PCs yet. I'm really keen on trying out one, and for me, building this htpc is the best start. Not too small, and not too big for the case i reckon.

Sure, i might as well do 2x4gb then. I'm starting to think that there's nothing tgat really utilises 8gb ram as of now, except for pc games maybe?

I'll have a look on that. Thanks.

Well, you only need 80+ gold if you're overclocking (it's a sign of great quality) or need lowered power consumption.

If you're not overclocking, I'd say go down as far as bronze, as long as it's approved by proper PSU reviewers like Jonnyguru.

There are some misunderstanding here
Just because a certain PSU is 80 plus gold certified doesn't mean it's a good PSU . Rosewill is newegg's brand (budget line) , some of their 80 plus gold PSU have been reported that they last only a few months
Higher PSU efficiency is better for your monthly electric bill . However , you have to look at 12V rail as well as efficiency

To make a power supply more efficient, you have to make it better. Lower-quality parts means more heat, more power usage, and more jitter. It's almost impossible to make a bad PSU that is 80+ gold certified, and, to do so, you have to be doing so intentionally.

So, yeah, efficiency translates into quality with PSUs. But, once you get into the higher-efficiency PSUs, you really need to start looking at every other statistic to know if it is a good PSU. Which is what the previously-mentioned review sites are for.

And, there's a very low chance that people aren't just jumping the gun based on old Rosewill PSU performance, and saying things that aren't even true about the Capstones.

EDIT: Also, don't read the ratings on the provided charts. They're normally either in optimal conditions, an incredible sample, peaks, or any mixture of such. ALWAYS LOOK FOR A REVIEW OF THE PSU THAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT, WHICH IS DONE BY SOMEONE LIKE JONNYGURU.

I still really don't understand your fascination with that guy. You act like he's some flawless god and every other source is wrong or irrelevant automatically if it disagrees with him. I looked up his credentials and he has no background in science or engineering. There are PSU reviews done by other organizations that are just as good if not better than his. He is not the only valid source of information on the planet about PSUs. If you want to reach well supported conclusions you should examine multiple sources of evidence, not just one.

I wouldn't have brought this up but I have seen you make the same implications multiple times now in different threads.

Just to be perfectly clear I haven't had time to read through this thread yet so for all I know you might be right about whatever claim you're making. But that statement is still irrational regardless of whether you're right.

No, it's just that I don't know of any others that are actually trustable. That said, I only know of one other reviewer, and he's called "user reviews". I don't have a need to find another reviewer, really.
