Have any idea on what it might be:

X2 cpu
1cpu=1469
multcpui=2940

A10
1cpu=2075
multicpu=5695

I mostly see a huge jump in multicore.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. Crysis 3 does need decent cpu performance to run well.

I heard that the older AMD A6 or A8 was much faster than the current one.
It seemed to have more raw power unlike the A10 does now.

Depends on the application. For most applications the new trinity generation apus produce the same or slightly better cpu performance. There are however a few applications where the previous generation (llano) wins slightly.

That makes sense. You're comparing a dual core cpu against a quad core cpu. Since you're comparing a laptop cpu against a desktop cpu there isn't a significant difference in clock rate despite the desktop cpu being much older. The 40% increase in singlethreaded performance comes almost entirely from microarchitecture improvements.

I can run a game 20-25 frames and 20-25 vps.(I think that is it)

Would I be able to achieve 30-30 frames on a A10?

Seems pcsx2 is out of the question right or does it vary game to game?

Does having 64bit OS instead of 32bit yield better results on overall day to day performance.
Never used 64bit because I only have 2gigs of ram.

This seems to be able to run on my pc with updated graphics.(NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT)

It always varies from game to game. This is true of every emulator.

jms_209 Wrote:Does having 64bit OS instead of 32bit yield better results on overall day to day performance.

It depends. Usually. In some systems, mainly those with little RAM general system performance can be worse under a 64 bit OS but application performance should still usually remain higher.

RAM is dirt cheap these days. Upgrade to at least 4GB ram and install a 64 bit OS.

Not true for CPS-x, NeoGeo (except a few games that use raster effects) and other similar hardware. Only memory requirements are different.

But it's true for any complex 3D system emulator starting from PSX, and it also applies to NES emulators, for example.

Actually, it depends on how an emulator is programmed. Different games execute different opcodes with various frequencies, since each game has different game code. If I had a few poorly implemented opcodes that took inordinate amounts of time to execute, any game that makes use of them often enough isn't going to run as fast as games that don't. This would be the fault of bad programming though, not with the emulated systems in question. Most CPS1/2 and NeoGeo emulators don't have such problems, but it wouldn't be hard to make one where the performance does change from game to game.

Are you guys seriously dissing this sub $500 gaming laptop? I have the HP Envy varient and Smash Bros. Brawl runs full speed for me. All of my PS2 games as well except for Snake eater in spots. Borderlands 2 runs on max settings 720p at almost 60FPS. Bioshock infinite is super smooth at high settings and crysis 3 is great on medium with 720p. Benchmark sites don't factor some things in for mobile chipsets and believe it or not, more RAM actually lends the GPU more performance out of some games. I know this because my girlfriend's A8 can actually keep up with mine since I gave her 16GB low latency RAM. This emulator isn't fully optimised for AMD but running the 64-bit version I've had great success with Luigi's Mansion and Smash Bros. Kirby and many others also run great. Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles are a little much for it but I'm overall happy with my computer. Anyone else have an A10 here?

Nah ,it's just a multimedia notebook . A gaming laptop looks like this

Heavy , powerful , decent cooling
But keep that aside , you can do [your own Dolphin Benchmark to prove your point
Make sure the framerate is stable when you do the benchmark

Nah , Dolphin is a dual core application
Neither Quad Core Intel CPU nor Quad Core AMD CPU can be used 100%

Yes it is.

Your assumption is wrong. The reason why the new ram boosted her GPU performance is because it was faster ram, not because the capacity was higher.
