So I was looking at Amazon and the "Amazon's Choice" for a bluetooth usb adaptor is this one. And I was wondering how well will this work with the bluetooth passthrough? I'm interested in having a stable connection and good audio. The range can be long but not too short. Also I don't really care so much about it remembering pairings. Is there one you guys recommend on the amazon store that isn't an actual wii module, but pretty close to quality? Does this one have a stable connection and good audio? It doesn't say on the compatibly list.

But if you can get it to run in Passthrough mode there shouldn't be any issue with sound and connection (when you use only one Wiimote, multiple Wiimotes are hit and miss per module) Just make sure to not get the ASUS BT-400 (I'm a sad panda) as I still am unable to get the passthrough working on it using Windows 10.

You can't be sure. If it's not listed on the wiki, we don't know. Could work beautifully. Could be a dumpster fire that disconnects after 5 seconds. We don't know. Amazon reviews on the adapters don't particularly help either. The quality of the adapter doesn't necessarily translate to how well it'll work in Dolphin.
The only sure fire thing you can do is buy the same bluetooth module the Wii uses online, and do some soldering work to hook it up to USB.
So I just realized my laptop, an Asus GL502VS, has an Intel Wireless Bluetooth AC 8260. But when I checked "Passthrough a Bluetooth Adapter" and clicked sync while Skyward Sword was running, Dolphin wouldn't recognize the Wiimote. But when I set it to emulate the Wiimote, it'll detect it. I have the motionplus adapter on the Wiimote. Also I used Zadig and followed what it said on the wiki, and it just totally messes up my bluetooth driver. What am I doing wrong?

Nice gaming laptop, I wish I had that to run Dolphin. ![]() I also have an Intel 8260 on my PC. The drivers installed with Zadig behaved erratically for passthrough. I resolved my problem installing UsbDk drivers, but be aware it may not work for everyone. You can read these threads for more info: Black screen on boot after sleep/restart with Intel 8260 Bluetooth dongle issue In short: 1) Uninstall Zadig device and revert to your original Bluetooth drivers 2) Install UsbDk drivers (https://github.com/daynix/UsbDk/releases) 3) Do *NOT* use Zadig ever again after installing UsbDk, or it will screw your Bluetooth permanently! It won't really break it permanently. You'll just need to reinstall the drivers again. Sometimes Windows gets annoying about changing drivers so it can appear to be screwed permanently.

The idea with Bluetooth passthrough is that Windows won't see the adapter anymore, since it loads a "dummy" driver that Dolphin can hook into, then the game will load a Bluetooth driver onto the adapter and in this way it should be able to use it. How well it works differs per adapter though.

Oh phew, I thought the software was going to send an electric current to my bluetooth and catch my laptop on fire haha. But seriously, if I just reinstall the bluetooth driver, does that also removes Zadig?
