The build list for my Hackintosh is here: http://i.imgur.com/lwvJ72l.png
I'm running 10.8.5, with no plans to upgrade to Mavericks yet.

I haven't run Dolphin successfully on this new build. I last ran it on an AMD 68xx series card with a Nehalem CPU with no problems.
This here is the crash report from Dolphin when I try to run any game: http://i.imgur.com/a5d1Kx3.png , http://pastebin.com/pWqNPyqA

The only other 3D application I have tested on this build is Unigine Heaven, which works perfectly fine.
Should I be using the official drivers from NVIDIA? I am only running the default GPU drivers that come with OSX.

Yes, get the latest drivers for Nvidia.

How does it run on the Windows partition?

It runs like a dream.

To clarify: the drivers will, in all likelihood, solve my problem? I'd rather not install them if I don't need to.

Yes, that is usually what that error is saying is the issue.

Why aren't you using Windows to play Dolphin? You just want to be able to play on both?

Ok, to state the obvious, you are crazy. OSX has proprietary drivers that have caused all manner of headaches with Dolphin over the years. Yet you are hacking a PC that could run Windows or Linux and did not come with OSX, and then putting OSX on it and trying to run Dolphin in that, instead of Windows or Linux. Yea, that's nuts.

While it's weird to point out the flammable fabric in the midst of a gasoline fire, this could be contributing to your problem.

Oh yeah, or that.
I thought something like that had happened, but I couldn't find it to link it or reference it

Either upgrading to Mavericks or installing Nvidia's drivers will fix this. If in doubt, do a backup.

Well, it looks like I suddenly have plans to upgrade to Mavericks. Smile

I tend not to use Windows unless I have to (certain games) because I need constant access to everything (mail, iMessage, notes, etc) in OSX.

Pretty sure Windows has support for mail, instant messengers notes etc. But anyway, even with OSX Maverick, Windows will still be better due to better drivers and such. You should be able to at least play everything though.

You probably need to install new graphics drivers or some have some other incompatibility going on with your setup. I have a buddy that runs dolphin great on his mountain lion hackintosh, and he has an nvidia card too. It can be done, you just have to get everything right.
