Tested and working with Dolphin. This is true, but the version of AX that you unlock within GX, is not the same as the actual Triforce version. This is most likely due to the changes that were made, when the game was released on the Gamecube. Notable differences between the original Triforce version, and the version unlocked in GX are: slightly different music in the menus, no way to load custom vehicles, course selection is messed up, no announcer voice during course intros, and the drift boost technique doesn't work (this will be due to the fact that it was removed in GX, and the remnants of it, are what we now know as "snaking")
Actually they were developed simultaneously, and were originally released in Japan at the same time. They are practically the same game. Having stuff from one in the other isn't surprising considering.

These are evident when you compare the AX mode found in GX, to the actual Triforce version. These changes were most likely applied, during development, when the courses were being created. Makes me wonder why they changed some things, like the announcer actually announcing the course name, during the intros, etc... 03-12-2013, 05:14 PM

These are evident when you compare the AX mode found in GX, to the actual Triforce version. One can easily argue the opposite, that AX was developed later and the AX mode in F-Zero GX is the unfinished F-Zero AX. The discussion is pointless, you can turn it either way. All we know is that they share code with eachother, and they were released at the same time for hardware that is nearly identical. This implies that they were developed together, and not one than the other. And you might wanna use Triforce branch builds to run these games. I'm almost sure it would work better

Over-Rated i mean the emulation speed on our computers, a few people can have problems with speed on lower computers.
