Hoo boy, this has thrown me for a loop.  I have tried several of the dev builds, and they all crash on loading any iso with the same type of error.  It starts with a message:

"Executable memory ended up above 2gb!".

That message appears 3 times, then I get a barrage of errors (20 or so) that say "WriteRest: op out of range" and then gives two hexadecimal codes.  After that, I get a message from windows saying dolphin has stopped responding, then it crashes to desktop. Saw a few posts about disabling panic handlers to ignore the memory error, but it still crashes. I have tried multiple ISOs, all that worked on the most recent stable version (4.0.2). I have also tried a few versions (can't recall them) that are tested to work with the ISOs on the compatibility list for those games. No games work with either default settings or settings I have found compatible with my system. Changing backends to dx9, 11, 12, opengl, and software renderer have no effect on compatibility.
The ONLY thing that makes the games actually boot are if I change the emulator engine to either of the Interpreter settings, which is of course unplayably slow. I have it running on 4.0.2 with no errors, but would like a few features that newer builds implement. I have tried it with the dolphin installation being installed in the Program files folder and then the Documents folder, with no difference, as well as with running in administrator mode.

I feel it is noteworthy to mention that I have 2gb of video ram allocated to my apu (the max amount that my bios allows). Thanks in advance for the help.

Weird!

That's usually caused by the broken PIE support that was in the x86_64 JIT (That was disabled), and you did try the latest dev build?

Alright. Do you have Anti-virus installed or are you using Windows Defender?

Anti-virus may be stealing your lower memory range

Windows Defender. I prefer to control what I put on my computer as opposed to trusting things I don't know watching other things I don't know.

Oh! I thought it added my specs automatically. I have 16 gb ram, with 2gb allocated to vram.

Hmm, I'm not sure then. I don't think Windows Defender messes with running memory in processes, but basically what you're hitting is what is usually the broken PIE support error, which we have since disabled on compile.

Also, I would like to note that I couldn't find much documentation on updating dolphin. Tried (not necessarily in this order, i can't remember) extracting the newest dev build to the 4.0.2 directory and overwriting files, still no luck. uninstall, cleaning up the dolphin emulator directory, just using the dev build without installing and overwriting the stable build, no luck. uninstalled, cleaned up, and now I'm back to 4.0.2

To update Dolphin, don't over write it over the existing one. You'll break some gameinis we have which make your games work properly. Extract it to a new folder. If you use portable.txt in your Dolphin folder, after extracting to a new folder, move your User folder to keep your saves.

mm, extracted the latest dev build to a seperate folder and ran the .exe, same issue as before.
