50 years from now is a long time, but yeah consoles seem to be getting smaller and smaller, playing games on my phone is not fun, i'd rather have a big console, i've always trusted the bigger consoles rather than their mini counterparts, guess i always see it as something must have been removed to make it smaller that might deteriorate gameplay which it dosent i guess but i just prefer mine bigger

For me i might not play a game for awhile but whenever i grab a pad i seem to just remember every thing perfectly, even a new game i've never played before, once you tell me what controls do what it dosent take me that long to adapt and play like a pro!

Kinda logical I know.

Super Metroid 100% within under 7 hours was quite an achievement for me a couple of years back, now I'm nervous, jumpy and make mistakes and the time for 100% runs increases as the years go by.

Odd, it's the exact opposite for me. Older games tend to take me longer, provide more depth, and are A LOT harder than most modern games for me.

Or you can complain until your dreams come true (simpsons quote), that's what I do Tongue.

I've been kinda slow, so may have missed my opportunity for this still to be relevant, but:

Come at me bro doesn't work on halo reach on legendary: I shot four rounds of plasma launcher a a hunter from point blanc and it survived, while it's buddy hit me with a slab of metal. The next time around I walked past it.

That's not "come at me bro" enough. You've got to melee them to death, at least that what I do for Reach on Legendary. Just gotta think like a Spartan. Reach made them push overs imo, I could never melee one to death in 2 or 3, let alone survive getting close enough to do it.

I find that the hunters on 1, 2 and 3 are useless: two grenades and you have a pile of worms in some armour, but in reach I always save weapons for the whole level if I know there are hunters later. Then again, I had completed reach on legendary (with co op) before I touched anything older, so I may have got better at rapid bullet distribution and punching tanks.

Agreed. Still that's what made me addicted to them. Felt more... heroic.

There is still hope for people like us though. The indie development scene has exploded in recent years thanks to people like us.

All you have to do for Reach is circle around, melee, use that hologram power-up, rinse and repeat. Chuck a few plasma grenades, and your done.

I always use a shotgun, plasma launcher, or Spartan laser. Only on rare occasions have I used a magnum or pummels, as I get bored without a knife.

Split Second, still left a short way in being ignored (as I bought portal 2 part way through). Now portal 2 is a good game (or maybe just I enjoy having robots call me fat).
