First off, I'd just like to say that I'm really amazed at how far this project has come in the past year and a half and I'd like to thank the devs for all the work they've put into it. Seriously, phenomenal progress guys.

Second, this is my first post on this site, so bear with me if I'm a bit of a noob, but I've been using Dolphin on PC since the very beginning. Hopefully I'm posting in the right location.

I just got a Galaxy Note Edge (Snapdragon 805) today and am using r4935 of Dolphin Android 4.0, and while the emulation speed is unbelievably good (45+ FPS in Digimon World 4) I'm having a very bizarre garbled texture issue. Text, UI elements, etc are completely illegible, sometimes invisible, and always riddled with garbage. Other textures (character models, etc) are perfectly fine.

I can't seem to find any mention of this issue anywhere, let alone any potential fixes for it. I've fiddled with the video plugin settings for a while and haven't managed to get any improvement. The Software Renderer is not distorted at all though. Melee was slightly better but a lot of UI elements (memory card dialog) were similarly messed up and in game looks like... well, this.

Seems like the same issue.

Really, just asking to see if it's my hardware/software/installation/game choice or if it's a known issue that others are experiencing as well? I'm still on 4.4.4, if it matters. Didn't want to update to Lollipop until I was sure it wouldn't mess things up.

I dunno what Mario is doing to that Pikachu but I strongly suspect it's NSFW.

The cause of your issue is mostly irrelevant since support for all ARMv7 devices has been dropped.

It's always funny to see how well the shader compiler of freedreno is compared to the official one...
@takato14 driver bugs, driver bugs, and driver bugs.... I guess nobody there (especially the mobile guys) test their shader compiler a lot :/

Snapdragon 805 only supports ARMv7, but this issue is still valid as both the 808 and 810 supports ARMv8 well. But tbh, we have no way to handle them but to increase the open bugs queue at qualcomm...

"I'm still on 4.4.4" - there is a big chance to get a driver update with the android update, so for dolphin it's likely worth.

... So what, I can't use any new revisions of dolphin? Are you kidding me?

That's a serious letdown. Half the reason I got the Note Edge was for the potential of Gamecube emulation, and its too late to switch it out for an 810 model. I had no idea the development had dropped v7... nor did I know the 805 was v7 only as that specification isn't listed anywhere on Wikipedia, GSMArena, or Qualcomm's site.

No he's dead serious.  Unfortunately you're stuck.  Don't feel too bad, the S810 isn't much better with its crazy throttling.  The performance isn't much better and the garbled visuals are still an issue (less so with driver updates).

Guess I just wait until the Shield Portable 2, IF NVidia actually releases one, and IF it actually gets a Tegra X1 put in it.

Edit: Android M on Nexus 6. Running on R6300. The latest 6928 gives me a parsing error.

Well yeah, the Nexus 6 is an ARMv7 device. Running Android M doesn't change that.
