Adjusting Internal Resolution = Black Screen

Hey guys! I've been having an issue that seems to be unique to me (after hours of google surfing) with my Dolphin Emulator. It seems that I can't play Resident Evil Zero on 1080x1920 Sad Now, what are my specs you might be wondering you diagnosticians (They're on my profile so in-case you guys can't see them I'll just rewrite them):

Dolphin 4.0.2 x64-bit (located in C:/program files(86x)/dolphin)
Intel Core i7 4700MQ @ 2.4Ghz-3.4Ghz (Turbo boost 2.0)
Nvidia GTX 770m 3Gb GDDR5
Ram: 16GB @ 1600mhz
display: Native 1920x1080 60hz

Alright, back to my issue. So whenever I change the internal resolution to anything (Seriously, anything) other than auto I get nothing but a black screen. I can hear the audio and the responses to my buttons but I can't see anything on the screen. Anyways, so atleast I can get it to work on auto right so what's the fuss all about, life's short be happy blah blah blah. Well the thing is that I'm not sure whether I'm actually playing the game in 1080p or not :/ Attached to this message are screenshots of my graphics configurations and screenshots from the game so you guys can tell me if the image looks 1080p or not. I'm 99% satisfied with the image (honestly speaking) but... There's just no solace knowing you could be playing a game with better graphics and you aren't... y'know what I mean guys? Anyways, thanks a lot for your help as always. Yes, I am a new Dolphin emulator user and this is about the only problem I couldn't "self" diagnose Sad Thank you!

The backgrounds look like that because they're prerendered at the GCs native resolution (and compressed so they fit on the disk).

Okay I understand THAT much :/ But thanks anyways for the reply friend. So you're saying that the game is already being rendered in full HD?

The characters themselves (as they're models) look like they're rendered at 1080p already.

I'll still have to wait for a more assuring reply Sad I am in the same boat with you regarding the characters being rendered properly but just to be sure that's not just AA and texture filters I wanna wait for another informed opinion. Besides these I also got my nvidia driver settings which are set to 8x supersampling, maxed anistropic and so on. Anyways, point is that the character models are not enough to go by unless we hear a third voice I guess.

Backgrounds in this game are not 3d, they are just 2d prerendered images so they don't upscale well like 3d graphics (character models for example) do. It is a way to improve performance for old consoles used in the first resident evil games...

I have the same CPU/GPU combo you have. Here's what I tend to do:
-Leave the Nvidia Control Panel alone. Put it on high performance mode, and then set everything to their default (except for the power management, set it to maximum).
-Set fullscreen to auto, turn on the Vertex Streaming Hack, and set the IR to 3x, max AA/AF.

This works will everything I've played (LEGO Star Wars II, Mario Kart DD, One Piece G.A., Pokemon Colosseum/XD, Brawl, Melee, Sonic Colors, Tales of Symphonia, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, to name a few).
Also, try out dev build 4.0-614. Its the one just before they took out the vertex Streaming Hack.

Also try these:
1) Update drivers, Windows updates, DirectX Web updater (some components may be missing), and latest version of Visual C++
2) Make sure under Power Management in Windows you're running in High Performance, and are plugged in to power

Just a correction there in this case, KH8m3r: if he doesn´t have latest VC++, Dolphin wouldn´t even start. Don´t you think?
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

Yeah, I think it needs does need it to start up.
It's possible that he doesn't have a complete install of it, like from a game or program that only installs what they need, but not the whole thing.

Also try upgrading to Window 8.1. Its a free update.

Yes, that worked! Thanks KH8! I don't know if there's a thank button like on elite pvpers but -thank you-. I restored my nvidia control panel to its defauls except for performance mode and display mode and voila, I could change resolutions! I liked it n all but the image was better with my control panel settings so I'm going to revert xD But thanks anyways for the help guys, I appreciate it.
