Adjusting buttons sensitivity

Hi everyone, I was wondering, after playing a bit of Super Smash Bros Brawl I realized that the buttons I mapped for L and R weren't pressure sensitive, so it makes blocking in the game kinda an all-in move, since it depletes in 1 sec..

I remember from the GC version you could press lightly or firmly for different block effectiveness.

So, is there a way to adjust this in controller's configs? I am using an USB xbox 360 controller (Just to be sure, we're talking here about the trigger buttons)

Also, on a side note, I once saw a picture of a controller configuration for Dolphin that would let you map 2 different keys to the same action, and on the picture I saw of the plugin instead of plain old text describing buttons, there were pictures of the actual 360 buttons with the appropriate color and all... know what I'm talking about?

Thanks for reading and hopefully answering me!
Good day.
