Adapter detected but does not work in game

Hello guys Smile , so I'm trying to play Super Smash Bros Melee on Dolphin and I'm having some issues.

I have a Wii U/Switch adapter from biogenik. Here's the link to the adapter https://www.ebgames.ca/Accessories/Games/755387

Basically what is happening , I do have the adapter set to Wii U/Switch , downloaded the required drivers and it does say adapter detected on the actual dolphin client but whenever I go in-game my controller just doesn't work. Has there been a fix found for this as I was trying to search the forum for similar issues but did not find anything recent?

Thank you for your help

Sorry for the late reply! Had trouble figuring out my password again.

So basically I downloaded Zadig , followed the guides and whatnot and updated the drivers for the controller so it does recognize it off game so in the main dolphin client but in game , it does not work whatsoever.

I was wondering is it an issue with this specific adapter or is it that dolphin does not support wii u/switch adapters?

Not the same guy, but have the same exact issues (although a different generic brand). Made an account just to report the issue (and see its been reported multiple times in the fourms). I am using stable version 5.0 and development version 5.0-9610. Same exact issues on both versions. Definitely an issue with generic adapters in general. Adapter has a switch for PC and a WiiU/Switch. Followed the instructions in the wiki. Drivers of mine says it is a Gamecube Adapter for Switch. Makes me wonder if its because the drivers don't specifically say its for the WiiU, so Dolphin doesn't fully pick it up. Hope a workaround is found or better yet, a fix.

Exactly, I've tried a bunch of versions but the one that I'm using right now is the 5.0 (latest version). Most likely a problem with generic wiiu/switch adapters. Hopefully enough of us can report it so there's a fix down the line
