Use Adamote in Windows, Mac OS, Play Station 3, Ubuntu Linux, and more.

Unless you or anyone can provide some proofs , i really doubt that
Hint : Make a video and show how you could make balance board work with Dolphin (play a game that support balance board , Wii fit Plus for example)

A side branch of Dolphin was working on that IIRC so it might be true Tongue

This market is becoming interesting indeed. Even a couple of days ago I run into another device called Cronus X which allows you to use any game device on almost any platform PC, Xbox or PS3. For example you can use the Wii remote on Xbox.

It works by emulating and mapping the original device say Xbox 360 controller on the Wii remote.

The adamote big advantage is that the BT and sensor bar is in one package so you don't have sync problems. Also I'm guessing it has some sort of GlovePIE software inside so that you can use the wii remote as mouse. At least this is what I understand from it.

The downside is the specific Dolphin emulator. We would have to use that Dolphin build right? This means we may not have access to the latest bug fixes and features. If it has success I'm sure they will follow the development but if not we are stuck with an old build.

I don't buy that one. The 360 uses a proprietary wireless tech, while wiimotes use bluetooth. You cannot change the radios in the Wiimote or the reciever tech in the 360. How is one supposed to work with the other? And that's assuming that the company hacked the 360 wireless proprietary mess.

They didn't hack into anything. In order for you to map it you need a wired Xbox controller with the wireless one it won't work. And in case you want to use the Xbox controller on another platform they provide the xbox official wireless receiver. In fact it doesn't even include the BT they also supply the BT dongle. The Cronus only maps functions on one remote/controller on another.

This is why you need a wired controller. As you pointed correctly the Wi-Fi of the Xbox is proprietary system and its not possible to replicate without legal issues
