Exclamation
ive deadset had enough of this bullsh*t
i have been trying to play or use this emulator for like week now
and still its not working properly
the biggest issue is the f**king controller that no one seems to be interested in helping me with
and i refuse to believe that all 40000 or more of you people that use this emulator as well are NOT using a controller
because seriously if your using a gamecube controller and its working or even an xbox controller and its working speak up

that dolphin issues page is rubbish as well
those wankers dont even try to help you
they just ignore you and think your some dumbsh*t who doesnt know what theyre doing
well i do ok, ive tried everything and i cant do it my self and according to the dolphin people on that issues page theyre just not interested
look at issues 2271, 2273 and 2281 and youll see im not getting any help at what is obviously a major issue

my problem summed up is i cant get the gamecube controller shoulder buttons working properly and when i try the xbox controller thats even worse
im using a 3 in 1 joybox usb converter thingy and its all installed right
and according to the control panel every button is being recognised
rumble is fine, in fact everything is beautiful
but apparently dolphin is having a little trouble and doesnt detect anything from the left shoulder button, and when you push the right shoulder down.. it thinks that im pushing the LEFT shoulder down
the xbox is worse.. all the buttons work EXCEPT would you guess, the shoulder buttons

now not matter what i do, dolphin seems to think that im pushing those buttons down constantly when im not. EVEN when i turn the buttons off in dolphin, like set them to 0 it STILL thinks im pressing them
im not doing anything different guys. theres thousands of people out there with this joybox and thousands of people who are doing what i want to do so speak up and tell me how to fix this.

for f**ks sake someone give me some support here
oh and another thing thats stupid about dolphin
how come when u go from one reference for example 4771 to the latest one.. dolphin just decides that even though youve got the EXACT same settings as before, its gonna just run at like 20fps or some stupid shit like that

jeez i know dolphin is free and its awesome that these people made it, but how the f**k can you make that mistake?
seriously how can there be so much sh*t thats wrong when it was fine before
and BIG problems like my controller issue, no one seems to mind?
theyre just 'nahh we wont help him for some reason'

oh btw if anyone replys to this and its NOT helpful
for example something stupid like
'mind your language' or some administrator wanker closes this post for some stupid guidelines reason or some sh*t
or even if someone comments and says i should do something that ive quite obviously tried because thats just common sense
ANY stupid sh*t like that.. i am NOT interested.. seriously if u do that just gtfo

seriously everything ive said is completely valid
and its all true, theres gotta be someone out there whos doing what i want to do and they can help me
that is all, thank you

one issue is enough lol :p, plus i would help if i had my controller with me, but at the moment i cant :/

also, just because nobody replies doesn't mean that they're not interested in "fixing" or helping with your issue >_> (that's why the issue page is there, just so we devs would know what needs fixing <_<)

ok good a reply lol
the first time i put something up on the issues page it was 'invalid'
the guy didnt even read my reply to his reply
it was just .. 'invalid'
i had more to say anyways like what i said in the two other issues i had to open up
that pissed me off.. it was like my opinion was just dismissed like im an idiot or something
and just then the other two issues were merged into my original one
it seems they have time to just close my issues and merge them back into my original one
but they have no time to actually do something about the issue
thats whats also p*ssing me off.. a lot

It happens curto. Stay calm. You make yourself seem worst when you rage.

Now to the issue. Have you made sure you are using the joybox drivers?. I have the redoctane 3 in 1 converter and had that same issue on the basic windows plug and play driver. Once I installed the correct driver for the controller it worked fine. If you just can't seem to get anything right, have you attempted to use xpadder? Maybe joybox doesn't like dolphin.

Don't know if this could be a reason but is your usb adapter DDR compatable? That is, can you go into controller options and switch between dance mode or others?. For me, I have to be auto mode. Dance mode changes the analogs to buttons causing dolphin to go haywire.
Which specific converter do you have? I know of the 3 in 1 magic joy box, Pc joybox 3 in 1 and I think one more.
If you want to just easily find a pic then check here and see which one looks like yours.

Outside of this, on the wiimote plugin are you able to change the axis or see your left analog stick move on the readout?

yes i use the drivers
i dont know what xpadder is.. is it that that thing called "XInput"
where its got the trigger status and u have a choice of that ^ and SDL?

this is the exact product - http://www.mayflash.com/pc/pc035/pc035-1.htm
this is the download site - http://www.mayflash.com/Download.htm

and the following picture shows some more info including what the control panel looks like for the gamecube controller and a copy and paste from that site you gave me that shows you which one it is and yeah..

and in the control panel i have the option of FLIGHT, DIGITAL, ANALOG or AUTO

EDIT: ive tried all the modes and i cannot get dolphin to sense the left shoulder analog
when its in digital mode it detects the digital left shoulder button (as i should) but yeah, in flight, analog or auto mode i cant get it to work
and ive also tried the njoy plugin and wiimote plugin

EDIT2: ive tried the xbox controller in a similar way to the gamecube one and dolphin only detects the right trigger moving
this is with the xbox controller on SDL mode and yea.. only the right one is being detected

If you are trying to use the GCpad plugin, then don't. Use the last build of the Simplepad plugin if using an Xbox 360 controller or Njoy if using another controller. The former plugins were merged into GCPad and it has quite a bit of problems, broke Xbox 360 pad support and has other quirks. >_<

The GCpad plugin is new so it is normal that a crap ton of issues are going to exist, it will likely be fixed over time by the developers. I use the Simplepad plugin from the older builds and it works just fine with my Xbox 360 controller. Wink

PROGRESS MADE!!

ok so just quickly ill add that ive kinda fixed the low fps on metroid prime
i changed the frame limiter to 50 and turned off audio throttle
i still get low fps .. but only sometimes.. its not enough to annoy me.. yet

now on to the main problem, i couldnt get a hold of xpadder so i downloaded
XBCD.. now this work absolutely perfect with dolphin, using the gcpad plugin
however of course, the xbox controller only has 1 digital button for each
shoulder trigger. but progress has been made
all i need to do now is find an appropriate driver that will run a GC controller
i really, really want the analog and digital buttons to work on the shoulder
hence why i want the GC controller to work. playing metroid prime just
isnt the same without it

so guys my question is: does anyone know of any drivers that will run a
GC controller. cause it seems that any driver will work with my magic joybox
any suggestions are greatly appreciated as i feel im that close to being happy

i am using my xbox360 pad (which i only bought for f-zero gx)...
and the shoulder buttons are working flawless ... (but only with the "dolphin KB/x360pad" plugin.
only issue is the rumble... it is not hard enough. ^^

so why don't you use an xbox360 driver mod for use with your gamepad and this plugin?
