Uh, hi there.

I have been checking some of the guides for some time, and right now none of them seem to be translated. I came here to ask all of you if there are some inmediate plans to make translations to the languages currently managed by the Dolphin website.

I would like to help translating the guides (at least some of them) into Spanish specifically, since that´s my native language.

Any opinions? Thanks in advance for the answers.

Traducir -> To translate, just so you know DJBarry Wink

Anyway, getting all the guides translated would be quite an undertaking for all of the languages (or even just one). This is delroth's domain, so see what he says.

We don't have any good story for guides i18n atm. It's not easy: we have to make sure the guides are kept up to date, don't diverge, etc.

If someone wants to think about the design, they're free to try and catch me on IRC this week-end so I can point out holes in their proposal Smile

I see. Well, you could tell me which ones would be ready for translation after the updating process, if updating them is a concern.

That does not scale to 20 languages, 10 guides and N people modifying the guides.

Well, the guides are based on wiki pages, a quick fix would be creating the translated guides as subpages in the wiki and then changing Dolphin website to get the correct subpage based on the language. Buuuut, there's no guarantee that all translated guides will always be up to date in relation to the main guide...

EDIT: how feasible would be using Transifex for guides too? FAQ is already there, maybe the guides could be ported to Transifex aswell...

It's good when I don't even have to point the issues.
