Chipset H61
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
ATX Case Black

It's only around 15% expensive than the AMD FX 8120

The motherboard is a bit of a deal breaker if you want to overclock.
But if you aren't going to overclock, its a much better deal.
I don't want to overclock my CPU ever.

But why think about overclocking?.

Isn't i7 2600 Sandy Bridge enough to run 100% speed in almost all dolphin games?.

Not all, but more than it won't run at full speed.
Most games should be fine.

It isn't 2600k, it's only a 2600.

It isn't 2600k, it's only a 2600.

Then it won't overclock anyway, so that's a great deal.

I actually don't like FX AMD that bad, I like it because I don't know that much about computers haha.

But, actually, I'm going for the i7 2600 3.40 Ghz I've been watching videos of Dolphin and ppl emulate it at 100% even SSBB with 4 player mode.

Thanks for everyone's help.

OMG , you're about to waste money for that i7 :
+No k" -> no overclocking
+It has Hyper Threading (HT) feature while the i5 does not have -> Dolphin doesn't support (HT)
+Higher Cache size than the i5 -> Not worth it (100$)
+Higher clock speed than i5 2500 -> 100MHz doesn't make any difference anyway

I don't wan to overclock, so I really don't mind that K.

HT what¿?

Cache wont matter.

Clock speed humm...

i7 2600 vs i5 2500k ? Tongue
Have to add;

There are 2 offers;

i5 2400. (X price)
i7 2600 Sandy Bridge. Difference from i5 2400 price is about 20$.
