I'm pretty sure I already mentioned that the Phenom was your best bet. I said that not because I didn't see that you mentioned the FX processor, I said that because that is the best processor you listed for Dolphin. Running a PC game is not the same as running an emulated game.

Humm...

So youre saying the AMD Phenom II x2 965 Black Edition with a 1080p screen monitor will run faster than the whole new FX-8120 Black Edition, 4GB DDR3 1333 Mhz, etc..etc... but with no 1080p screen?.

Save the 1080p screen for later.
Focus on getting a better CPU now.

In terms of dolphin performance, that is.

So, should I get the AMD Phenom II x4 965?
And the monitor aswell?.

Definitely.

FX 8120 only really outclasses the 2500k in terms of EXTREME multitasking.
It is much slower in single (single/dual-threaded) programs such as dolphin.

If you have to buy new mainboard anyway,I would suggest i5 2400.
If you cant afford it,only then get phenom II 965

There is a good offer for a Intel Core I7-2600 Sandy Bridge, and it comes with a mobo;
Chipset H61
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
ATX Case Black

It's only around 15% expensive than the AMD FX 8120

The motherboard is a bit of a deal breaker if you want to overclock.
But if you aren't going to overclock, its a much better deal.

I don't want to overclock my CPU ever.

But why think about overclocking?.

Isn't i7 2600 Sandy Bridge enough to run 100% speed in almost all dolphin games?.
