I didn't know if I should post this in General discussion or in here, so I figured I'd throw it here so feel free to move it wherever it belongs to.
I'd like to know what are in a basic manner the Audio Backends and what they do in emulation. I figure they are some kind of audio library but what they do exactly, specially in emulating the DSP, I have no clue. Also, is DirectSound an audio Backend or else?
