I think that in that resolution many games would work quite well ...

a question? ... it could be added as a min resolution 480 x 360 or that resolution is

On android, the *vast* majority of games are either CPU or bound on things other than the pixel shaders (which is pretty much the only thing that scales with resolution). It's unlikely that reducing the IR would give any benefit.

Well, I think that if it would result in being able to lower the screen definition to 480 because of the games that I could try some 720p, they are fatal without any change when I go to 640 and it works perfectly with antialias and other effects ... I know, I think I would add the resolution to 480 and check how the emulator is going 05-19-2018, 03:08 AM
Here I leave these 2 videos of drango ball gameplay running at 720p and 640 if you look at 720 I have it to the minimum, textures and effects but at 640 I can play well and all the effects on the screen at the highest quality

Yes? It's not surprising drawing 3x the number of pixel means that the pixel shader is now a big (the biggest?) contributor to performance - but that doesn't mean that scaling the resolution down will help as the pixel shading will no longer be the limiting factor.

Is it even possible to scale down the IR to lower than 1x without having to do a complete re-write of the way this is implemented in the graphics core?

Dolphin previously was able to change the internal resolution fractionally, but it broke a LOT of games! It was changed to only allow integer adjustment in 5.0-5097.

I've also seen that the only anti-aliasing is at x1 and a lot of people say that this is off, but the graphics are not pixilated, which is how it should be if the anti-aliasing was turned off just like the Anisotropic Filtering that is x1 but it sure is not off either to be at the minimum but it has a bit of effect. Igua goes with the textures in the minimum if we look closely not notice a great improvement that in maximum textures. it is also missing, more graphic performance configurations in pc for example you can touch more graphic configurations ... with all that and a small decrease in resolution you could try more devices with medium quality cpus and you would get more performance in of high-end cpus .. Well, that's what I think

Well, that's what I think Graphics aren’t pixelated because the scaling to monitor resolution often produces blur. As for anisotropic filtering, just because dolphin hasn’t enabled AF doesn’t mean the game itself can’t. Dolphin doesn’t disable or alter the visual settings of the core game, it merely offers “enhancements”. Comparing dolphin’s graphics options to pc games is hilariously pointless because they are not the same kind of application. |
