A problem with Hybrid Ubershaders

For me it seems to work fine. Maybe it depends on the GPU...
Could you try to find the first development version in which the issue happens? That way we might be able to find the cause of the issue. 12-28-2021, 03:30 AM

For example in the game Call of Duy 2 during the "Compiling Shaders" process the load goes up to 111 and you are ejected from the game before reaching 118 or it freezes at 1-118 and it is impossible to play without disabling the Hybrid Ubershaders option in the settings. The same happens if Exclusive Ubershaders is activated. In version 5.0.15663 after loading the shaders the screen goes black and you have to exit and re-enter to be able to play. But Dolphin does not force you to disable the Hybrid Ubershaders option, that makes me think that the shaders should already be loaded in the game. The same happens in the latest beta version of Dolphin. 12-28-2021, 03:43 AM
Thanks for the information. I should also ask, does the problem happen with both OpenGL and Vulkan?

Dolphin doesn't eject you from the game but every time you start the game it loads the shaders and the screen stays black. It is also impossible to play with the option enabled. 12-28-2021, 05:26 AM
This is looking like it might be some kind of bug in the graphics driver. Unfortunately nobody on the development team has a device where this issue happens, so there isn't much we can do right now to investigate this further.

I uploaded a video with the latest development version where you can see the problem. https://mega.nz/file/w1URBajS#OKq_BJm4Y5...WyTu-cBefo 01-08-2022, 01:42 AM
A question. If you manage to fix this problem in the future, will you report it in this thread?

If there's a change in the next few months that improves the situation, I'll try to remember to write in this thread.
