How am I supposed to get all that, with one of these?

I was happy with Dolphin v2.0. Wii Remote / Nunchuk configuration was real simple. I had every button mapped, using the joystick, and a few keys on the keyboard. I moved Link with the left analog stick, and swung the sword with the right. A, B, Z, and C where those four buttons. 1, 2, +, and - where the left and right buttons on the top of the game pad. It all worked great.

But then I got stuck in a game, where I needed to move the Nunchuk forward. So now I guess I need to start using a newer version, to do that. Now I'm trying to figure it out. I was looking for a good example of how to set it all up. If anyone knows of one, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks. Smile
Now it looks like you can't use both the joystick, and the keyboard, for all the extra buttons. How can that be? I was using both in the older versions.

The new input configuration can do everything the old one could do, and much more.
What exactly are you stuck on? everything is fairly straightforward and it appears you already know how to map your buttons and such.

Thank you, Billiard26. I did that, and it worked:

Success!

I got a simple setup. A lot of stuff is unassigned, but I can do everything I was doing. If I ever need any of those extra things, I'll assign them, somehow...

I photoshopped it on the bottom left as a suggestion for having A/B buttons also assigned to mouse buttons. But when I right clicked, to assign the button, a window popped up. I fiddled with that, and here's how it works:

The window will have the button that was already assigned. Let's say it's the joystick button. Hit the dropdown, and switch to "DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse". Then hit "Detect", and click the mouse button. And hit "| Or", and it will put that code in the bottom:

Code:
Button 2|`DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse`Click 0

Or you could probably just copy/paste that, if you want A button to be the bottom button on the Joystick, and the left mouse click, at the same time. Here's the other code:

Code:
Button 3|`DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse`Click 1

Then hit "Set", and this is what it looks like, after you close that window:

That could be a tutorial. Unless it's already been done....
