Hi there everyone, I was wondering which build(s) are most recommended for stability these days (and also where you download them :S). I'm running an i7 @ 4.2 GHz, which I'm assuming will run most games well, but I was wondering which kind of settings I could afford to turn on. For example, it looks like the DX9 plugin is preferred, what about anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering? Also, this is on a single GTX 260 that will soon be replaced by either a 580 or 570 SLI when/if that comes out, if that helps at all.

Thanks for any advice you can give me!

The most recommended build is usually the most recent build. You can find the most recent build here: http://www.dolphin-emu.org/download.html

Leave SSAA on 4x. Depending on the game if you are also using a high internal resolution you might want to turn it off. Anisotropic filtering should be on, it has no performance hit on a video card of that calibur. If you have any more questions about settings feel free to ask.

Just wondering, why don't the newer builds include the Xbox 360 controller plugin? I found it in another build and dragged/dropped to the plugins directory, but it's not selectable in the config gui. What should I do?

Newer builds should have support for the xbox 360 controller built right into the gcpad new plugin which is included. Does it show up on the drop down list of devices in the plugin?

It does, but the two things I've seen that don't seem as nice as the plugin are 1) the vibration feedback with gcpad seems iffy, maybe I'm wrong, and 2) there is no "click" support for the trigger buttons.

Edit: Nevermind, that's what the threshold was for in the trigger setting; click support.
