I've basically been waiting for the 3DS since I was, what, seven, eight years old. I always thought to myself "it'd be so cool if you could have a Game Boy that could play 3D graphics like the N64". Now of course, it's more like Wii-level graphics, but I'm pleased with it so far. This is going to be an RPG machine this year (I'm looking at Rune Factory in addition to M&L: Dream Team).

They're actually really funny and witty games. The writers did a good job, even more so when you consider the text had to be localized and translated first. They're definitely worth getting into. They're the spiritual successors to Super Mario RPG in a way, and they go where Super Paper Mario and Paper Mario: Sticker Star badly needed to go (e.g. being funny and engaging to play). The combat is semi-realtime. You take turns attacking, but when you attack, you often perform timed actions and such. They're a joy, and still one of memorable games I've played on the system.
