Hi all,

I am using dolphin on my Nvidia Shield TV to emulate Super Smash Bros: Brawl. I am wondering if there is a way to set the fps to 50 hz when emulating PAL wii games on android, by maybe editing some config files, as this would result in an increase in performance. I already tried copying my config files to the pc version of dolpin and changing the settings there and then copying them back to my shield. This did not work. The config folder does seem to be the place where the setting is saved though. I confirmed this by replacing my shield config (on PC) with the original config, after setting PAL to 50 hz. This resulted in the settings to show PAL to 60 hz again. I used the "config>wii>use PAL60 Mode" setting.

Btw: I can strongly recommend using only PAL versions on android for gamecube, because this inceases performance drastically. It makes Mario Kart & Rayman 3 run at full speed almost 100% of the time.

Nevermind found the solution. The problem was that I already ran SSBB at 60 fps once so it was configured that way. By removing the wii folder in de dolpin-emu folder on the shield tv I could set the game to 50 hz by using the edited config files from PC dolphin.

I have some PAL games and put them in PAL60 = true and it seems to work better (XXXPXX).
Devs, is this the correct assertion?

So, would you recommend PAL for Wii ROMS also?

Setting game between PAL50/60 has very little to no difference depending on the game. It's still emulating the same, just outputting less. So you're not going to get much/any performance gains by using PAL ISOs

I thought that was the case. Thanks for clearing things up!
