Dolphin 4.0 works fine but 5.0 immediately crashes with this error.

Any idea what 0xc0000022 is referring to?

Make sure your computer is up to date and you installed all the correct updates:

It's up to date with everything besides the Windows 10 malware one, also tried re-installing 5.0 with the included DX/C++ installers with no luck. I also turned off all AVS and ran as admin, no luck.

Dolphin 5.0 is the only program on my PC giving me issues.

I'm surprised that apparently nobody else is getting this same error code, I'm running a pretty standard W7 x64 SP1 environment.

ProcMon does give me the attached when I try to run Dolphin, though. I tried installing https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=48145 as per https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3jvmfu/trying_to_install_dolphin_keep_getting_the/. Still the same error.

Never figured out what was causing it and reinstalling Windows did nothing.

Reformatting and installing to a clean partition got rid of the error, though. Quite the sacrifice just to run 5.0.
