That's assuming optimizations for old systems are even possible. Frankly... they kind of aren't. Dolphin was optimized for old hardware as much as it could be in the 2.0 era, hacking together as much as it could to be as fast as possible. Considering the performance and available hardware features of the time, they didn't have much choice! But times are different now. Dolphn's new approach is to use new features of modern hardware to get better accuracy *and* higher performance. There really is no way to achieve that on older hardware.
