5.0-12716 cannot hold shift and use control stick/other buttons

Everything was fine in 5.0-12247, download new patch and suddenly cannot hold shift for L-target and move in Metroid Prime.

I tried changing it to CTRL and it works normally, tried closing GHub and same problem with shift.

Reinstalled 12716, same problem; reinstalled 12247, now works perfectly again.

Keyboard is Logi G513; also noticed in the new version of Dolphin things are named "Shift" instead of "LSHIFT" etc.

I am having the same issue. Updated to the new beta version when prompted today, and all of a sudden holding either shift key negates input from WASD (Although the rest of my keys seem to be working fine). If I was moving at the time of pressing shift, the movement continues until I release the movement key, but starting to press a movement key while shift is held down has no effect. Was running The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, and tested it in Wind Waker, too.
I noticed that left and right shift are both now displayed as simply "Shift" when you bind them in this version, so I tried changing just one of them to a different key to see if the other worked. It didn't. I tried this with the old left/right shift from my saved configuration, or rebinding them as the new neutral shift, but it seems to make no difference. Like the other guy said, binding either bumper to a key other than shift works fine.

I've realized what the problem is now.
Default hotkeys for freelook are Shift+WASD. New "intended behavior" of pressing Shift now suppresses input for WASD.

This is desirable for preventing the fullscreen binding of Alt+Enter from activating the start button default binding, but I can now see how this is an issue for Shift.

I have some ideas for a fix and it should come soon.
In the meantime you can change/remove the hotkeys for freelook under Options->Hotkey Settings->Graphics tab.

Thanks for the response! Changing the freelook hotkeys resolved my issue. I've never used freelook, so it shouldn't be a big issue for me. Thanks again.
