I am playing gamecube and wii games in 4k and am realizing just how stunningly beautiful they are in 4k. I am seeing for my self now that 4k is the way of the future. I am playing on a 1080p monitor. My question is, if I played them on a decent 4k monitor would my face melt with astonishment? Or would I be pretty meh about the difference? Thanks

All you're seeing is a less aliased 1080p image. 4k should look pretty different depending on the amount of space between you and the monitor and the size of the monitor. I can guarantee your face won't melt though. ![]() Spoiler: 10-31-2016, 03:01 PM

I know it has to downsample, but it still looks way better than 1080p. So you are saying that A 4k monitor Won't necessarily look better than the 4k 1080p downscale, but just look different? And I'm sorry if I seem like a noob, because I am ![]() 10-31-2016, 03:25 PM

Uh? What kind of non sense is this? I thought 6x Native (for 4K) and 3x Native (for 1080) makes no difference in a 1080 display because Dolphin's downscale doesn't work that way.
From France with love.

As far as I know, it makes less difference than it ideally would, but that doesn't mean there's no difference at all. 11-01-2016, 02:24 AM
