Base clock modification is only unlocked on K edition cpus as well. You cannot overclock a non-K haswell cpu, period.

I'm not talking about pixel response time, I'm talking about sample-and-hold vs strobing backlight. In a bit more than a week I'll tell you my opinion about Lightboost. I know colors, brightness and contrast won't be good, but what I want is motion clarity.

OK, to put it simple: HDD had 2 main partitions, one for the OS and other for games and whatever. Instead of cloning everything, I just cloned partition C. And it wasn't enough to make it work, since there wasn't a boot partition in the new HDD. That's what I think I did.

Ontopic: if you overclock the BCLK, you must be careful about RAM speed, because you'll surely need to modify the memory multiplier.

Depending on the software, there's typically an option to clone the boot sector of the drive, which is what you need to do. Another option is to clone the main partition and then boot from a Windows install disk and do a fixmbr/fixboot or bootrec /FixMbr bootrec /RebuildBCD for Vista/Win7.

By changing the voltage. There will usually be a knob for this included with the HSF.

The knob controls a variable resistor that changes the resistance of the circuit and therefore the current flowing through the fan. Thereby changing the strength of the electromagnetic field in the fan which increases/decreases the fans ability to move against the friction generated by the bearings. Thus changing the angular velocity.
