I would like to start off by offering my gratitude to everyone who made Dolphin possible. It is very nice to relive the gamecube era in 1080p.
Anyways, I'm building a new computer and I want it to run dolphin smoothly. After lurking around on the forums, it is to my knowledge that the 4670k is the cpu of choice. However with the requirements to overclock (z87, k cpu, aftermarket cooler) it'll cost me $100 extra to overclock.
So my main question is will I be fine with just the 4670? Possibly the 4570 seeing as it's below the $200 dollar mark. The most intensive game I see myself playing is Galaxy 2 and I would like to be able to play all gamecube titles at full speed.
I'll buy the necessities to overclock if i absolutely have to for Dolphin to meet my expectations but I would rather avoid overclocking. Thanks in advance.
