using the microsoft stack, i press 1 and 2 on the wiimote, add device and connect the wiimote to the pc. (by this point it is definetly connected to the pc) its just keeps flashing.
Then i open up dolphin, go to the wiimote option and it tells me that there is 0 wiimotes connected. so i try refresh, same result, press pair up it fades to grey for a few seconds but still says 0 connected, i press 1 and 2 together then press pair up and same result, 0 connected.

:-(

Do you think it could be because its a third party wiimote, i mean a wii would be able to pick it up otherwise they wouldnt be able to sell it, so generally it should be the same, in theroy.

Thanks for the replies again all

All the best

When you go to the wiimote configuration in Dolphin, you have to select real wiimote because by deafualt it is set to emulated wiimote...

I tried to use toshiba stack to start out with and dolphin told me that only the microsoft stack was supported. I had to uninstall the toshiba stack to make my wiimote work.

What am I missing? How do you make it work with the toshiba stack? yeah, my original wiimote works, but if I can make my Nyko work, I'd be all over it.

at first: i could use the microsoft stack (win7-x64) withmy chinamote as well without problems. but i changed because i wasnt able to use two at the same time.
so i used toshiba and with a little hassle i can even get both of them working (suppose with a better usb dongle it would be better, but once its working, its ok).
in other words: if ms isn't working, you can use toshiba with dolphin! only the "pair up" feature doesnt work (i guess this is just combining the bluetooth-connecting in windows and pairing up in dolphin). but you dont need it. connect the wiimote via toshiba bluetooth menu and then press "refresh" in dolphin. it gets paired automatically (led 1 should be flashing instead of all 4 leds blinking). hope i could help.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I was trying to hit "pair up" at the time. Off to try the toshiba stack again (with refresh only this time)...

UPDATE: Well, what do you know, the toshiba stack is working like a champ without the "pair up" button (Guess next time I need to rtfm a bit more closely). It's also easier to use. In fact, I don't even have to hit refresh if it's already connected before I open dolphin.

Still doesn't work with my nyko, for crap though. Sometimes it'll connect after many tries, but won't stay connected. But then, I have trouble getting that thing to work stably on my actual wii, so I wasn't holding my breath.

in this case i's say your nyko is broken...
i must say though, i don't know about my long-term connection stability for the wiimote as i didn't have time to actually play wii games.

Well, the toshiba stack didnt work :-(.
I've also tried the belkin stack. but with no joy.
saying that though both the belkin stack and the windows stack connected to the power-A wiimote.
It just cant find it in dolphin.

:-(

Oh no doubt it's junk; it's never been particularly stable and I didn't expect it to work with my PC any better than the wii (and certainly didn't blame dolphin), but still had to try.

With any of my original wiimotes, once connected, they'll work for as long as I care to play so no biggie.
