Hi forum,
Im having abit of trouble connecting my powerA third (3rd) party wiimote to dolphin.
I've got it connected to my PC via the windows stack and ive also tried connecting it via bluesoleil and that worked also.
But as soon as i open dolphin and try to pair up the wiimote after a few seconds it says 0 as if i hadent pressed it.
Ive tried connecting it via 1 and 2 buttons and also the sync button.
I just find it weird as its able to connect to the pc quite easily but not to dolphin.
Im using version 2.0, but i have also tried many of the other revisions.

I'm using vista 64 if that helps. I've loaded up a rom without any issues.

Any ideas please anyone?

If the Wiimote is already connected to your PC (lights continuosly blinking), in Dolphin you have only to select real wiimote and then refresh...
Version 2.0 is too old, and did'n work well with third party wiimotes...try the last one (at this moment r6815)

remember that if it's already paired (as you said) you don't have to pair it again in Dolphin (as you did), instead you have to refresh it (after selecting real Wiimote of course)...

like i said though, its a third party wiimote, the maker is "powerA".

Any other suggestions please?

1) Download the last revision of dolphin 6739 or superior.
2) Read Bluesoleil alternative

Happy new year

the last revision i tried was r6818.
Bluesoleil finds the wiimote just as well as does the microsoft stack but its dolphin that does not find it.

Hi again,
using the microsoft stack, i press 1 and 2 on the wiimote, add device and connect the wiimote to the pc. (by this point it is definetly connected to the pc) its just keeps flashing.
Then i open up dolphin, go to the wiimote option and it tells me that there is 0 wiimotes connected. so i try refresh, same result, press pair up it fades to grey for a few seconds but still says 0 connected, i press 1 and 2 together then press pair up and same result, 0 connected.

:-(

Do you think it could be because its a third party wiimote, i mean a wii would be able to pick it up otherwise they wouldnt be able to sell it, so generally it should be the same, in theroy.

Thanks for the replies again all

All the best
Kev

Microsoft bluetooth stack only work with original wiimote (you wiimote are not original it s sure).
I has the same problem, Microsoft detected my wiimote (not original) but dolphin not, i change to toshiba blutooth stack and all run very well.
