3rd party wiimote IR

So I bought a 3rd party wiimote (live in china, real deal is hard to find). after a lot of playing around it connects with toshiba bluetooth stack, but dolphin doesn't recognize it even when the controller rumbles and the 1st light is on. then i tried a game and realized its working fine except IR... Any ideas? I'm using dolphin 4.0.2 and controller RVL-CNT-01. Sounds come from controller, all buttons work... but no IR is recognized at all and I still get the 'A supported bluetooth decive could not be found' message.

Oh, on the older version of dolphin 3.0... the controller pairs up fine and IR even works...

At least when they're official, non-TR Wiimotes are much more likely to work in recent revisions if they're not paired in the bluetooth stack, but instead paired directly through Dolphin with the continuous scanning feature. There was a time that this only worked with the microsoft stack, and this might still be the case. I'd try updating to the latest dev (4.0-52xx right now) to see if there's any change, and also try reverting back to the MS stack if that's not enough. However, unofficial Wiimotes are officially unsupported here, due to the fact that they tend not to work so well.
