3D Vision patch (v2 !!)
|
Well, I've downloaded the 64 bit version in this thread, and I've tried with 32 bit as well. However, when I use the 3D mode, even with background input on, none of my buttons register. Then when I click alt + tab to get out, it says "Device Lost" then it has like 100 "Failed to Create..." messages. Actually I only get those messages with the latest version of Dolphin, the verison in this thread just gives the message "Dolphin has failed and needs to close". I thought it might have something to do with Nvidia 3D, so I tried with it off and on and got the same problem, then I thought it might be iZ3D so I tried with the Services off, and with them on, same problem. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? Thanks.
Note: What's weird is I remember the first time I tried it, it worked now it doesn't. Didn't change anything in between but that was on the latest download of Dolphin.
System specs:
OS: 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium CPU: 2.6GHz Intel i7 920 Quad Core RAM: DDR3 1333MHz 9GB tripple channel Video: Nvidia geForce 260 GTX oc PCI-e, 1.7GB Vram, latest 3D driver MOBO: Dell XPS 9000 01-26-2011, 03:00 AM
I tried, wasn't working before but, I had to get Dolphin version r6914. Keys are working now but Save States won't work when 3D mode is on. Can't alt tab becaues it crashes Dolphin, and can't press Shift + F1-12 because it doesn't do anything. Menu Save states are greyed out too. Here are some images of how it looks in 3D and how the menu is greyed out for saving...
Note: (I've tried with many versions, 3D patches, etc. Anyone know the right version to use?) 3D Red and Blue Anaglyph using Nvidia 3D... THIS ONE YOU CAN JUST CROSS YOUR EYES, DON'T NEED GLASSES... Also, the sound of the gun firing and object pickups drops out after the first enemy shows on the screen. Probably just the version of the game I have though, if anyone else had that problem and fixed it let me know. If there's a fix for the save states let me know too, thanks.

Is there no 3D option for ATI graphic cards? Will iZ3D work with this?
Intel Core i5-3230M Ivy Bridge 2.6 GHz(3.2GHz Turbo Boost) 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Intel HD 4000/AMD Radeon HD 8670M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) (Switchable Graphics) Windows 8 64-bit (03-13-2011, 07:21 PM)souravstar Wrote: Is there no 3D option for ATI graphic cards? All the option does is enable exclusive mode fullscreen, which is what 3D Vision requires (for now), I wouldn't be surprised if iZ3D has the same requirements. Apparently nVidia are working on making programs work in 3D without exclusive fullscreen mode, so maybe at some point this hack will be redundant... unless it's needed for ATI users... Edit: Is 3D Vision broken at the moment? I downloaded a build rather than doing my own because I only own VS2008, so I can't say for certain. Plus I'm on some pretty sketchy beta graphics drivers. 05-07-2011, 04:00 AM
Are there any new updates to this patch? I can't seem to get 3D vision working properly on my 3DTV with the current version of the dolphin emulator. Seems to be displaying in over/under stereo 3D. Despite me adjusting my tv to compensate it doesn't make a difference

I'm using ATI hardware with iZ3D drivers on Windows 7-64bit.
I usually use Dolphin r7111 32bits (the iZ3D driver license system does not work with 64bit apps, only anaglyph and iZ3D's own monitor currently work with 64bit apps) The iZ3D drivers can run the emulator in 3D with the regular rendering mode (without using the 3D vision mode), but not all outputs work this way. Basically all the outputs that do not need to modify the desktop resolution and refresh rate output work directly even in windowed mode (anaglyph, side-by-side, interlaced, dual-projectors with extended desktop, iZ3D's monitor) the others need the 3D Vision mode so that the exclusive full screen gets hooked by the driver (HD3D hardware 120HZ, HD3D hdmi1.4, and the new beta Dual-projectors with Eyefinity side-by-side desktop mode). With using the default rendering mode, all the keyboard keys and inputs work normally, including savestates. When using the 3D Vision mode, the hotkey issues also happen with the iZ3D driver. (can't use the F-keys, can't use the escape key, can't even alt-tab, to exit full screen mode I have to press the windows key or call the task manager) I just tried the latest version (r7528) and the 3D Vision mode has bugs. The rendering resolution is completely wrong it uses the windowed resolution instead of the full-screen resolution, if I set 1280x720 as windowed resolution, It will render as requested ; if I set 1920x1080 as windowed resolution it renders 640x480. When ticking the "start in full screen" option, the emulation gets stuck with a black screen and renders about 1fps. Once I get it running the way I want, the games are very unstable and crash often. Alt-tabbing gives looping error messages and I have to use the Windows task manager to kill Dolphin. 05-26-2011, 03:08 PM
Has anyone attempted to get this Feature to work with AMD's slightly recent HD3D technology?
I haven't tried it as I do not have a monitor over 60Hz or the eyewear. If I do get my hands on that stuff, I guess Dolphin would be my Primary use of 3D features. Heck, I mostly use my rig over my game consoles for the flavorful enhancement and education experiences emulation offers. That and I use it for development. Hardly ever play PC native titles. |
