Hi, I don't know if this is the right thread to post this in, sorry if it is wrong, I'm having a problem with 3d ripper dx and dolphin-3.0-win32, every time I use the capture key from 3d ripper dx I get this message "state not found", can anyone please tell me what this is about, I'm trying to rip models from the game Batman Begins, and also in some cases I get lucky an the capture key works, but I get these type of files .3dr files, .obj files, and .mtl files, these files can't be read with 3d studio max, so can anyone tell me what are they and how to go about with the results I've gotten with 3d ripper dx and dolphin-3.0-win32 ?

I haven't used 3D Ripper DX in probably a decade, this is quite the blast from the past. And, sorry, you'll have to convert the model files on your own. It is possible to do, and you'll have to use all kind of programs.

Please can you explain these things to me, this is my first time doing this type of game project ?

You can open the obj files in a lot of modeling editors. It's been forever since I did it, but I do know that I got Wind Waker's models all the way into 3DS Max at some point. It took forever, and they weren't very good quality (the ripping isn't very good, honestly; it'll end up distorted) and you don't get rigs or any of those important aspects.

First up, try Ninja Ripper (more info), it's a more updated version of 3D ripper - I believe that's what I used last year when I was playing around with model dumping, and actually got some T poses.

Then on 3DS max, go file > Import to open your objs. Good chance your models will be cut up into many different objects, and your textures wont be placed right - just a heads up.
