hi guys, been reading the forums havent found an answer as why my 360 controller aint responding to emu. I have selected on options using the right plugin. Its a wired 360 controllers, trying to play twilight princess and monster hunter. But none of the games are reconizging im pressing A to start. I played around with the settings they all seem to be okay I had an old version of dolphin working fine with smash and 360 controller but haven't used it for awhile installed windows 7 recently only BIG change i can think that could conflict with this. So Is windows 7 a problem for dolphin in anyway? If not help me figure out why I can't use the controller thx!

There is a check box enable that and select rumble.

did u reinstall the controller drivers?
how old is the controller, is it compatible with windows 7? 09-11-2009, 11:18 AM
the xbox 360 is checked and rumble is on and if its wasn't on wouldnt matter, the 360 controller works fine. play sf 4 no problem.... I'm quite confused I only think the problem can be the emulator not being compatible with windows 7 or the games im trying aren't. Monster Hunter and Twilight Princesses.

I use a 360 Wireless controller on Win 7 (7100) 64-bit with no problems. Dont recall if I had to install specific drivers for 360 but I dont think so. I build my own version of Dolphin so I can only say the latest builds as of Sunday or so work fine with it. I tend to turn off rumble but it was working in the game I was playing (till I turned it off). Playing Tales of Symphonia with it for reference.
Guessing game specific problem. 09-12-2009, 08:20 AM
I have the same exact problem! Using Win7 x64. I have 2 360 controllers, one wireless and one wired. They both work flawlessly with everything except Dolphin. The 360 controller works fine if the game that's running supports Gamecube classic scheme like Muramasa. But I can't for the life me of me configure it to be a Wiimote/nunchuck.
In the pad settings I can only map buttons to the keyboard and yes there is a checkmark in the box to enable 360 controller. I used Xpadder and mapped all the keyboard functions to the controller and the mouse (Wiimote) to the right analog stick, but the Wiimote scrolling is waaaaaaaaaaaay too slow. 09-12-2009, 09:27 AM
For clarification, what all do I need to get a 360 wireless controller to work w/Dolphin? I read that I need the controller AND the wireless receiver AND some kind of adapter? Would it be cheaper if I just got a wired one?

All you need for you to use your 360 controller with your PC is a wireless receiver.

still have not been able to fix the 360 controller problem as posted in first post.
