360 controller not recognized by Dolphin, causes computer to crash (OSX)

In the latest version of Dolphin (I tried v4.0-6995 to v4.0-7015) on Mac OS X, it does not recognize any input from my Xbox 360 wired controller. Even worse, when I then unplug the controller, it causes a system crash that forces the computer to reboot. This occurs even if I quit out of Dolphin prior to unplugging my controller.

My controller works fine on every other program I've tried it on, and I've been using it for years. This error only occurs while Dolphin is running, and occurs every time. It also doesn't matter if I plug my controller in prior to opening Dolphin, of after.

This error didn't happen when I was using Dolphin v4.0 (stable release). I only today switched over to the development versions of Dolphin. Google searching turned up nothing so I assume it's a relatively recent bug.

My previous version was 4.0 stable, so I'd have to go through at least dozens of revisions to track the specific one down.

Or you could just test half way between and narrow it down (keep doing this till you find it)

I would still likely have to go through dozens of revisions.

Mostly I want to know if anyone else had experienced anything similar. That would hopefully help narrow down when this bug first appeared.

Is 4.0-6995 the oldest you have tried?

Also no, it would not take "dozens", it would be 10 at most, excually if you read the changelog.

I've got the exact same problem. My controller works fine on every game/emulator so far. Even on Dolphin 4.0 (stable version) but when i upgraded to 4.0-7xxx, my controller stopped working. After opening the controller config in Dolphin, even my Xbox 360 Controller Driver doesn't recognize it... And when I unplug it, my computer crashes :/ Didn't found a solution yet, hope it'll be fix soon (sry for the few mistakes, I'm French...)
