Hello,

See, these are my specs;

i5-3570k @ 3.8 Ghz
8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz
500 GB Hdd 7200 RPM
HD 4000 (< this video card)

I used to have GT240 but it broke because a cousin played with it the bad way, I'm going to buy a HD 6670 hopefully...

So, see, when I had my GT240 i could play anygame with 2.5 IR, and no AA, but AF 16x, any game ran over 80+ fps.
However, now that I'm using my HD4000, having even 1x IR and AF16x I ain't getting full speed, I'm playing with 52~60 fps in most games.

Mario Kart Wii (used to have 90+ fps with 4 player mode)
now I can't even play 4 player mode because it's at 19 fps, and in single player mode it's running at 49~55 fps !!!!!!!!

I'm wondering, did my CPU broke? Or is because the HD 4000?.
Intel Core i5-3570k @ 4.0 Ghz, Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 GDDR3, 8 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz 1.5v, P8Z77-V LK, 500W Cooler master Certified[/size]

You went from a dedicated GPU down to the CPU's integrated GPU, and saw a performance hit? Wow! What a shock!

Nothing is broken, you just went from meh to bleh. Get another video card.

I distinctly remember a member by the name of TSA had a similar issue. IIRC, the general consensus was that the HD4000 was the culprit, as his performance did increase once a dedicated GPU was thrown into the equation. The thread sadly no longer exists in the Hardware forum. Also note, MK Wii gets more demanding as you start adding players in multi-player. The HD4000 should be able to handle 1x IR so there's the possibility that it's a driver issue. The latest ones from Intel were released early this month, have a look here.

Forgot to say I had my proc OC to 4.0Ghz with stockcooler, I tried underclocking it to 3.5~3.8 and i don't get fps drops nor anything, so it might be the freaking video card.
Also;

Before my video card broke, my mobo was; MSI Z77A-G43, now I've Asus P8Z77-V LK

We told you from the beginning it was your video card. Your processor is great. Your GPU, not so much. Your situation does kinda suck though, so I feel for you.

Not really recommended. If you overclock too high, you can easily damage your CPU. For overclocking, a decent aftermarket CPU cooler + thermal compound is recommended Wink

I recall trying to tell people not to depend on the HD4000. Some people just seemed to think that it was always good enough for 1xIR in all games. It's not.
