WARNING:  semi-advanced question, need help from an expierienced user!

Is it possible?   I do that for eSPXe to run 2 player PS1 games so I don't completely understand why it doesn't work for this emulator as it seems far superior to eSPXe.   Here's exactly what I did;

First, I went onto Dolphin and mapped pad1 and pad2 to random buttons on my keyboard (excluding any of the "default" buttons) with the device input of device/0/keyboard mouse, hoping to map them (players 1 and 2) to controllers later on through Pinnacle game profiler.

Second, I configured pad3 with the default settings for device input device/0/keyboard mouse as I'm intending for them (3rd player) to play with the keyboard and mouse (NONE of the button configs for pad1, pad2 or pad3 are the same).

Third, I went onto Pinnacle game profiler and configured a Dolphin profile for 2 controllers and mapped them to the same inputs as pad1 and pad2 and ran them simultaneously.

Fourth, I opened warioware inc. for a test run to see if all 3 would run properly.

It turns out pad1 worked fine synced from Pinnacle game profiler to the keyboard controls on Dolphin, but it says "Please connect other controllers" when I try to start a multiplayer game.  My question is, how do I get Dolphin to read both the controllers and the keyboard as 3 separate controllers, even though I have the 2 controllers mapped to the keyboard while player 3 uses the keyboard?

BTW this is all for the Gamecube, not the Wii, just to clear any confusion there.

Thank you very much in advance to anyone with any helpful information on this!!

BUMP, why is no one helping me out? This is ridiculous that none of you guys on this website are smart enough to know how to do this or how to fix this issue. I only took the time out my of my day to post this topic and this reply, instead of doing hours more of research that I couldn't find, because I expected this site to have users who knew what the they're doing, but instead it almost seems as if no one has the knowledge on how to do this and that I have been mislead about you guys. Shame on this website if all of its users are just going to ignore this topic and not help out a fellow gamer! I mean I see people replying to others in need on their topics with 19 replies!! I'm not against helping others, but why is it that you guys can't help me out but can help them?

Calm your flaming titties. If you take that attitude then no one will want to help you. You only just posted early this morning, and users have lives too. I can say that at least for me I don't come to the controller section every day.

As for your issue, you probably didn't set anything to the other controller ports, so Dolphin isn't looking for extra controllers. Under the config tab, make sure you have the other controller ports setup to have controllers in them.

In the long run, you're going to want to get the latest dev build as it way faster/accurate/better than 4.0.2 stable. Also, there was a change in the way the controller setup is handled in Dolphin so that it's easier to see what you have connected, as seen below. However, your profile says that you have an x86 operating system. If you put the wrong one there and you actually have a 64-bit Windows 8, then go grab the latest dev build from here: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ However, if you really do have a 32-bit Windows 8, kinda bad news for you: we dropped 32 bit support in the latest dev builds (see here as to why: https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2014/05/19/obituary-32bit/) Your CPU is a fairly recent Haswell based CPU, so it supports 64-bit OS. What you can do is reinstall Windows 8 with your current license using a 64-bit install media. It'll be better in the long run for Dolphin support and overall computing.

Thank you very much for the response, I will try the method out ASAP to see how it works.  As for my last reply im sorry for the attitude haha just got impatient and typed up the wrong things I guess.  But my PC is a Windows 8 64-bit,  but when I go into my (C:) drive and look at the 2 program files they read as "program files" and "program files(x86)"  but everyone else seems to be linking x86 with 32-bit, may I ask why that is and if it is possible that my 64-bit windows can run a x86?

As you can see in the picture below, CCleaner says I have a 64-bit (and so does many other things in my PC) and my (C:) drive files says it's an x86.

UPDATE: I didn't have the 2 extra ports configured as "standard controller" and by changing that it fixed it right away, no problems at all! Thank you so much for the quick fix.

A 64-biT OS (at least Windoes) can run a 32-bit (x86) program, but it may be slower and have some issues. It is better to run a 64-bit program if you have a 64-bit OS. Your Root directory shows you two “Program files” folders because Windoes separates them in different folders. In “Program files” you can find the 64-bit programs, and in “Program files (x86) you can find your 32-bit programs

Glad that fixed your issue Smile
Since you're running a 64 bit OS, go grab the latest dev build and profit from the awesomeness.
